Check-in at railway stations

Complete check-in services including baggage handover are available at over 50 Swiss railway stations.

When you check in at a railway station you will be issued with a boarding card after handing over your baggage. To find out which airlines allow you to check in at a railway station, go to the website of pfeil SBB or call 0900 300 300 (CHF 1.19 per minute).


Check-in times

For scheduled flights, as a rule max. 24 hours before take-off. For charter flights, normally from 4 p.m. the day before; max. 24 hours before take-off. Check-in times at the railstation.


Prices for Fly Rail Baggage

Check-in with boarding card and luggage registration: CHF 20.–/ USD 15.– per baggage item.
Reduced prices on scheduled Swiss flights for first and business class passengers as well as members of Miles & More, "HON-Circle", "Senator" and "Frequent Traveller".


Documents for check-in

Flight ticket of each traveller with OK booking signature or electronic ticketing number.
Passport, if required with visa.


Baggage for check-in

Conventional baggage up to max. 32 kg.
If the baggage exceeds the amounts listed in the flight ticket, you’ll receive your boarding card at the airport after paying the excess baggage fee.

Bulky items such as bicycles, surfboards, baggage items over 32 kg, etc. may not be checked in at the railway station.
If check-in at the railstation is not available for your flight, we can speed up the transport of your baggage to the airport for CHF 20.–. You pick it up at the SBB counter and check it in yourself, saving you from having to haul the bags.


Fly Rail Baggage

From any airport around the world, your baggage travels directly to your railway station in Switzerland via Zurich or Geneva Airport. No matter which airline you fly. This means you arrive at the airport and your baggage is automatically forwarded to your destination station.
