International transport hub

The framework conditions governing current and future flight operations are determined by political bodies. As a result, the Zurich Airport is also concerned with political issues and in meeting the mobility needs of the business community and society. A key priority is to increase the acceptance of Zurich Airport as an important air transport hub and location for Switzerland at international, national, cantonal and municipal level.

Int. Business Development

The International Business Development of Flughafen Zürich AG started in 2000. New project opportunities in existing and other markets are regularly examined. Our focus lies on the successful development and operation of medium-sized airports through management and operation contracts, potentially combined with equity-stakeholding.

The Circle

Environmental management

In order to fulfil its obligations in accordance with its environmental guidelines, the Zurich Airport operates a comprehensive environmental management programme. It has been certified in line with the international ISO 14001:2004 standard since 2001. Systematic data management provides key figures which illustrate the environmental situation and how it evolves.
