Taxiways for runway 28

Construction of high-speed taxiways for runway 28 starts

24.04.2018 - Construction work for the first high-speed taxiway from runway 28 will be carried out on the western side of Zurich Airport between May and November 2018. Work will also commence at the same time for the second high-speed taxiway from the same runway and is scheduled for completion in June 2019.

2018 General Meeting of Shareholders of Flughafen Zürich AG

19.04.2018 - At today’s General Meeting of Shareholders of Flughafen Zürich AG, all the points on the agenda were approved in line with the proposals of the Board of Directors. The 2017 financial statements include a profit of CHF 285.5 million. The General Meeting of Shareholders agreed a dividend of CHF 3.30 per share, and an additional dividend of CHF 3.20 per share was also approved.

Main construction work starts on additional access taxiway for runway 16

29.03.2018 - The preliminary work on an additional, multiple-entry access taxiway for runway 16 took place at the northern end of the runway between mid-October and mid-December 2017. The main construction work, which is scheduled to last around seven months, will start after Easter.

The new summer timetable applies as of 25 March 2018

20.03.2018 - The summer timetable takes effect again at Zurich Airport with the switch to summer time on 25 March 2018. It will remain in force until Saturday, 27 October 2018. Different opening hours also apply to the observation decks.

Groundbreaking ceremony for expansion of baggage handling system

19.03.2018 - Today's groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start for the expansion and refurbishment of Zurich Airport’s baggage handling system. The construction project will be implemented during ongoing operations until the end of 2025 and upon completion will ensure greater baggage handling capacity.

ASQ Award reconfirms high customer satisfaction at Zurich Airport

06.03.2018 - Zurich Airport again ranked third for its high level of customer satisfaction in the Airport Service Quality Award (ASQ) in 2017. The leading international umbrella organisation of airport operators presents the award each year. Around 600,000 individual passengers are surveyed to measure customer satisfaction at more than 300 airports around the world.

Successful financial year in 2017: good result thanks to higher passenger volumes, positive development in the commercial segment and one-off gain in international business

02.03.2018 - Flughafen Zürich AG has posted a good result for 2017. The airport operator's profit of CHF 285.5 million shows an increase on the previous year. The year-on-year rise in consolidated profit of CHF 37.5 million was primarily due to the CHF 31.4 million arising from the successful sale of the equity investment in Bangalore. Adjusted for one-off effects, consolidated profit improved by CHF 10.8 million (+4.5%).
