Discover Chinese New Year at Zurich Airport
Experience Chinese culture and celebrate the start of the Year of the Pig with us.
Those who land at or take off from Zurich Airport between 12 January and 24 February will actually be making a stopover in China. During six weeks, the airport will be transformed into an Oriental realm of bamboo and lanterns, dedicated entirely to the theme of China: its history and culture, its cuisine and customs. We invite you to start the Year of the Pig off with us and discover some typical Chinese New Year rituals. Such as the dragon dance, which promises to bring luck on February 10 at Zurich Airport or the traditional New Year's gift of "hongbao" – a red envelope with a surprise inside, which you yourself might be lucky enough to open on 9 and 10 February. Furthermore, look forward to a genuine feast for the eyes on 10 February with a "Dragon lunch" and "Dragon dinner". Enjoy an Oriental 3- or 4-course meal – with the best view of the dragon and lion dances at Zurich Airport.
