ZONE A – Baggage sorting system (GSA)
The baggage sorting system is a central infrastructure for passenger handling at Zurich Airport. The system is being comprehensively renewed and expanded as, among other things, key parts will soon reach the end of their useful life.

THE CIRCLE – Zurich’s new destination. Boasting some 180,000 m² of floorspace, this trailblazing centre is set to enhance Zurich’s attractiveness well into the future. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2019.
Expansion of landside passenger zones
In order to serve the needs of the steadily growing numbers of passengers and commuters in the landside Airport Center in future, Flughafen Zürich AG intends to radically upgrade the northern part of the Airport Center.
The expansion of the landside passenger areas will create adequate space for the growing number of people and eliminate existing bottlenecks.
Glatt regeneration project (Tolwäng to Fromatt section)
Ecologically valuable habitats, local recreation and flood control: the regeneration of the Glatt on the western side of the airport presents big opportunities.
Between July 2012 and July 2014, the Canton of Zurich drafted the "Glatt Area Landscape Development Rümlang/Oberglatt". In the spring of 2017, Flughafen Zürich AG returned to the planning work again, which had been put on hold, with the consent and involvement of the canton.
Stands Delta South
Due to their proximity to the existing infrastructure, the new Delta South aircraft stands are intended to cover demand for aircraft handling stands for European traffic.
Tthereby they are optimising operational flows and ensuring rapid transfer times at Zurich Airport.
