Construction of high-speed taxiways for runway 28 starts

Taxiways for runway 28

Construction work for the first high-speed taxiway from runway 28 will be carried out on the western side of Zurich Airport between May and November 2018. Work will also commence at the same time for the second high-speed taxiway from the same runway and is scheduled for completion in June 2019.

2018 General Meeting of Shareholders of Flughafen Zürich AG

At today’s General Meeting of Shareholders of Flughafen Zürich AG, all the points on the agenda were approved in line with the proposals of the Board of Directors. The 2017 financial statements include a profit of CHF 285.5 million. The General Meeting of Shareholders agreed a dividend of CHF 3.30 per share, and an additional dividend of CHF 3.20 per share was also approved.

Main construction work starts on additional access taxiway for runway 16

The preliminary work on an additional, multiple-entry access taxiway for runway 16 took place at the northern end of the runway between mid-October and mid-December 2017. The main construction work, which is scheduled to last around seven months, will start after Easter.

Today's groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start for the expansion and refurbishment of Zurich Airport’s baggage handling system. The construction project will be implemented during ongoing operations until the end of 2025 and upon completion will ensure greater baggage handling capacity.

Zurich Airport again ranked third for its high level of customer satisfaction in the Airport Service Quality Award (ASQ) in 2017. The leading international umbrella organisation of airport operators presents the award each year. Around 600,000 individual passengers are surveyed to measure customer satisfaction at more than 300 airports around the world.
